Where Discipline Meets Development.
James Cabarrus is the founder of Reliable Solutions, bringing over 23 years of executive-level leadership experience across military, nonprofit, government, higher education, and corporate environments. A retired United States Marine Corps Sergeant Major, he led in complex, high-risk environments where decisive leadership, accountability, and mission execution were non-negotiable.
He currently serves as President of the Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Houston, a 501(c)(3) organization supporting Marines, sailors, veterans, and their families across Southeast Texas—reinforcing his commitment to service beyond the uniform. He also serves as the Community Development Officer for the Harris County Veterans Services Department, where he leads strategic outreach and builds partnerships to connect veterans to critical resources and support.
In addition to leading Reliable Solutions, James is an adjunct professor of Leadership and Ethics at the United States Naval Community College and a corporate trainer at Houston City College, where he develops leaders to think critically, act decisively, and lead with integrity.
He is a doctoral candidate in Leadership and Innovation (Ed.D), focused on advancing leadership effectiveness and organizational performance.
